Schools are included in the national . As part of this Schools are also encouraged to complete the Energy Toolkit as a means of recording how well we are progressing towards the net zero target. Further information on how to become a net zero carbon school can be found on .
Eco Schools
For over 25 years has been empowering children to drive change and improve their environmental awareness through the simple Seven-Step framework in order to achieve the Green Flag award. There are separate pathways for Early Years, Primary and Secondary schools. From the list of ten environment topics, schools choose three topics to work through for their green flag award.
Let’s go zero
is a programme for schools to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2030. Once registered, schools are able to get support in setting their zero carbon targets and preparing roadmaps for delivery. Many schools in Kent have already joined the programme.

enables church schools to calculate their carbon footprint. It can be accessed online at . 兔子先生 urges all schools to complete the toolkit as part of our commitment to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
Carbon Action Plan
- Every school must have a Carbon Action Plan covering four key areas: decarbonisation; adaptation and resilience; biodiversity; and climate education and green careers.
- Every school must be covered by a Nominated School Sustainability Lead, either within the school or academy trust.
